Contacting Us
Kamado Gourmet uses forms on the website to gather information from you for various purposes. In most cases we require your name and email address. In the case of warranties, we require your address and phone number as well. We also collect this information about you when you email us to get help or ask a question. We use and keep this information to contact you, provide replacement parts to you, or provide you with service, as the case may be. We do not sell this information to other companies, but we may supply it to other companies as needed to perform these services for you. We often use FreshDesk to handle customer communication, as this service helps speed up our response times and helps us provide more effective customer service to our customers. In our ongoing effort to serve you more effectively, we use FreshDesk to communicate with you, and to store information about you such as is noted above. To read FreshDesk’s privacy policy, go here.
Purchasing Our Products
We require your name, email address, billing/shipping address, and phone number to process your orders. Our website also automatically collects the IP address used to make your order. We do not sell this information to other companies, but we may supply it to other companies as needed to process and fulfill your orders, and to collect product reviews.
Please note that Kamado Gourmet does not store your payment information on our servers. This information is sent directly to our credit card processing provider through secure channels.
Contacting You Regarding Orders
Sometimes when you make a purchase through our website it becomes necessary to contact you. We often use FreshDesk to handle customer communication, as this service helps speed up our response times and helps us provide more effective customer service. We may use FreshDesk to contact you about an order, and to that end may store information about you in their service, such as your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, and phone numbers. To read FreshDesk’s privacy policy, go here.
Product Reviews
When you purchase a product from us, we may forward your name, email address, and items purchased to Customer Reviews (CusRev), our independent review verification agency. We do this so they can reach out to you only to ask you to review our products on our behalf. When you do review our products (please do!) they will store your name, your email address, the products you’ve reviewed, and your reviews. They will share your reviews with us, and your reviews may then show up publicly on our website and theirs. When making your reviews, you may choose to publicly display your full name, part of your name, or to be anonymous to the public. You can read about their privacy practices here.
In addition, we may share any of your reviews on social media platforms and online product listings, such as Google Shopping. When we do share any of your reviews with these types of third-parties, we only share the review information we would normally make publicly available on our own website, meaning: your chosen display name, your star rating, your textual review, the product you reviewed, the date and time of your review and any photos or videos included with your review. Please note that this same information may otherwise be publicly available on our own website, and on the Customer Reviews website.
In-Stock Notifications
Sometimes when a product is out of stock, we may present you with a subscription form to be notified when a product comes back into stock. We only use the email addresses we collect from these forms to notify you of the stock status of products you have subscribed to. We do not share the emails we collect from these forms with others, and we routinely delete each submission within two years after sending the associated in-stock notification out. To ensure your email address is removed from our in-stock notification system sooner, please contact us.
Feedback/Testimonials
If you choose to provide us with any feedback or testimonial, we may display this feedback/testimonial on our website at our discretion. However, at any time that we display your feedback/testimonial, your last name and email address will be kept confidential. For more on feedback/testimonials, see the Terms and Conditions.
Emailing Lists
If you opt-in to our emailing list, we may send you updates about our products, or even sale prices not available on the website. When you choose to do so, we collect contact information, along with place of residence. We do not sell this information to other companies, but we may supply it to other companies as we find it necessary to include you in our mailing lists.
